The first impression is wow how cool. The galactic edition is encased in a hard white plastic case covered in the soon to be familiar wingdings, planets and creatures you'll see in the game. This is sure to keep your contents safe for years to come.

Inside you have the 3 major components. The Spore Galactic Edition™ module, a book of the art of Spore™, and a DVD about "How To Build A Better Creature". Below each component is expanded upon.

The Main Module

Starting from left to right you have the Spore™ game disk, the Spore Galactic Handbook™ and poster, and finally you have the making of Spore™ DVD. The game of course you'll just have to play to see that :) but I have a shot of the poster and handbook below.

Spore™ Galactic Handbook

The spore galactic handbook should be called the spore encyclopedia. This book has every button, feature, stage of game, tweaks and so much more explained in the uttermost detail. I am so glad I got this version. They do have an in-game guide as well but it's nice to have it right in your hands.

How to Build a Better Creature DVD

This is a very cool DVD. It is about an hour long and goes into much more than how to build a better creature. It basically explains how creatures, like you and I, began. Will Wright went right to the source, scientists and researchers, for information about how cells grow and how changes occur so he could develop the most realistic actions and movements for the creatures you create.

I watched the DVD with the intentions of jotting down a few facts I could tell you about but to be honest I got so interested in watching the DVD that I never wrote down a thing. I will post a few more details after I watch it again.

The Art of Spore™

The Art of Spore™ book goes through each of the 5 stages of the game and show in great detail all the wondrous creations that went into each level, as well as many other things you won't see in the game. With over 125 pages to view. The artwork is nothing short of dazzling, beautiful and vividly detailed.
